Bernadette Mether is a classically trained mezzo-soprano who has performed in various styles including classical, jazz, folk, and music theatre.
With over 30 years of experience in both performance and teaching, she will be able to identify and teach you what you need to learn to greatly accelerate your growth.

At Wax Lyrical, I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment for all of my students. I believe that anyone who can talk can learn how to sing, and I am dedicated to catering to the individual needs of each and every one of my students.
I place a strong emphasis on teaching correct breathing techniques, as this is essential for proper vocal control and projection. With a variety of vocal exercises to help you develop your skills, I will help you achieve your potential and sing the way you want to sing.
As a music teacher, I believe that every person has a natural need and desire to sing and express themselves through music.
My teaching philosophy is centered around helping each individual find and develop their unique voice. I strive to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and exploring their musical abilities.
Through a combination of vocal techniques and performance opportunities, I aim to help my students grow as musicians and become confident in their abilities to express themselves through song.
